Planting with panache

I don’t have nearly as much time to spend in my yard as I would like, but I still want things to look pretty. I certainly don’t claim to be an expert on planting, but the June/July issue of Organic Gardening has a great article on container plantings, incorporating science and design.

In keeping with the theme, I have featured some containers I like, as well as some cute gardening accessories. I would say go out and get your hands dirty, but you won’t have to (and won’t want to!) with the adorable gardening gloves on my list of recommendations.

A modern planter:

CB2 Shore Polyterrazzo Planters

A classic planter:

White Flower Farm Crete Andreas Pot

Accessories:

We just got more Scout bags in. The collapsible trash bin could serve as a cover for a boring planter OR would be handy to have next to you while you are weeding, etc. The collapsible all-purpose bin with lid would be great for storing your gardening supplies.

What a fun apron! If you’re not into gardening this is a fun excuse to start.
