We loved paging through the newest issue of At Home Arkansas, January’s “The Color Issue.” Such wonderful inspiration and yet another indication that color is back.

What’s your favorite color, color palette or color combination? This is an important question, as it allows you to determine what your color personality is, a key ingredient when it comes to down to designing and decorating your home.

Another one of our favorite shelter mags, House Beautiful, recently touched on color personalities, sharing some top designer’s color preferences, including specific paint swatches to match their personalities.

From Elizabethan Red (a favorite of designer Kathryn Ireland, who proclaims that “a red room draws people in like a magnet”)

to Bainbridge Blue (Mario Buatta recommends using in a library or dining room)

If whittling down your color personality seems too daunting, we suggest paging through publications such as House Beautiful and At Home for inspiration. The colors and combinations that make you feel happy and inspired should jump right off the page. Happy reading!
